Regularly washing and cutting your hair is a simple way to properly care for and give yourself a nice shiny and clean head of hair. Consider the tips from this article to decide which style and cut will suit your personality and appearance best.

It is essential that you ensure your hair keeps moisture so it does not become brittle and dry and break. To keep your hair well moisturized, don’t use steaming hot water to shampoo. Make it a habit to rinse off any shampoo with cool water. This stops the heat from stripping your hair of it’s natural moisture and promotes a lustrous sheen.

Blow Dryer

Go easy on the blowouts. Whenever you can, try to let your hair air dry since the heat from the blow dryer is so damaging. If you must make use of a blow dryer, set it to cool, then continuously move it around your head so no one part of your hair is exposed for too long. You can minimize your use of the blow dryer by towel-drying your hair first.

Try using a deep-conditioning treatment on your hair about once a week. Just wet your hair a bit and apply lots of your conditioner. Wrap your hair in a warm, damp towel, or even plastic wrap, to trap the heat. After you do this for around an hour, you should wash your hair and rinse it thoroughly.

A satin pillowcase can be used if you want to protect your curly hair at night. Ordinary cotton pillowcases have a tendency to leach the oil and moisture out of your hair. Satin pillowcases protect your hair making you wake up having the same types of curls when you slept. You can get the same effect by wearing a scarf or bonnet of satin to bed, too.

Don’t shampoo your hair for two days after coloring it. The hair cuticle must have time to seal before shampooing to ensure your color lasts. Even getting it wet can re-open the cuticles in the first three days. If you are patient and don’t jump the gun, your hair will look fantastic.

Brushing and combing your hair can stimulate growth and break up loose scalp skin. This will also get rid of clogged pores in your scalp that might make your hair less likely to grow. A good way to ensure that your hair has optimal hair growth is to run your brush through it 100 times each day.

You can make your hair healthy and as shiny as possibly if you have a nutritious diet and avoid smoking. Just as your health matters, so too does the hair and body you were born with and they should not be ignored in your quest for great hair. Consider carefully the natural texture of your hair and your head’s shape when choosing a hair style.
