Sometimes, it can seem like nothing is helping to clear up acne. There are a lot of very expensive treatments and miracle creams that offer quick results but fail to deliver. There are ways to control your zits, however, so don’t lose hope.

Tea tree oil is an exceptional zits fighter that should be applied directly to spots on your skin where you are prone to acne. Used to reduce oil buildup, tea tree oil can be less drying to the skin than many other treatments, and is a more natural product.

Use a freshly washed pillowcase on a daily basis to avoid acne. Just think about it! Picture your skin wallowing around on this each night. This can easily be avoided by simply replacing your dirty pillow case with a clean one before you go to bed.

Try to limit your intake of dairy and meat products in order to prevent further pimples outbreaks. Commercially produced meat and dairy products contain hormones that can negatively affect your skin. When you eat less of them, your skin will improve.

Teeth Whitening Products

Remove teeth whitening products from your regimen. It’s important to look into every chemical you use near your face as a possible cause of your pimples. Some of the whitening strips, mouth washes and whitening toothpastes can cause zits. It’s no surprise that teeth whitening products cause acne since the skin around your lips is extremely sensitive.

Be cautious about extreme changes in weather, because they can make pimples worse. If you become overheated, you may begin to sweat. When you perspire heavily, your pores become clogged and can become irritated. On occasion, it can cause acne. When the weather is cold, it can cause skin dryness. Neither is desirable.

Stop Wearing

If you wear makeup, try to limit the amount that you use, or even stop wearing it until your pimples clears up. Applying makeup to conceal your zits is tempting, but should be avoided because this may actually clog your pores. If you stop wearing makeup for a few days, you will clean your pores and your skin.

You should apply the information you have learned about how to prevent zits and start to improve your skin and your life. Be patient in your battle against pimples, clear skin doesn’t happen overnight. Implement the suggestions here into your facial care routine, and expect to see new, clear skin and fewer zits breakouts.
