How To: Cat Eye Makeup Like Kendall Jenner – Super Easy!

With over 67 million results (YES!), the term how to do a cat eye makeup is one of the most searched beauty questions in Google. Why? Because it’s super duper hard, like freakin’ hard for the majority! But, have you ever met someone, like a real person, who isn’t a professional makeup artist who has surprisingly mastered the technique?

Oh, that feline outline and shape – there’s definitely something about those eyes! For quite some time now, that cat eye makeup or cat eye liner look has been a highly sought makeup look. Just look at those Bollywood actresses, Cleopatra and even most Hollywood actresses – cat eyes have been flaunted by all ladies, especially those who are at the top of their fashion game. Tell you what, this look is going to stay for quite some time, maybe forever, so it’s better that you better get ready and get it perfect!

Are you too late for the fashion rage? Nope! It’s all about finding out how to get started, and that’s your cat eye base. Don’t skip the cleansing, toning and moisturizing part. In case you have redness around the eyes, puffiness or those dark circles, don’t forget to tone it down and keep those puffy bags under control with an eye serum. Of course, we can’t proceed with any makeup look without a primer, so it’s a must have.

Now that we’ve had our base finished, it’s now time to pick out the right product for you. There’s no specific brand this time – just get one that works for you. It’s up to you – you can use a thin brush applicator, those liquid eye liners, or a felt tip pen. Some people feel comfortable using a gel-based eyeliner, and that’s fine! It’s also important that you have an eyeliner brush, or at least angled brush for this look. You’ll be pulling off this look every day so might as well get one. There are lots of good drugstore brushes out there, just pick one.

Just for the sake of this tutorial and simplicity, let’s use a felt tip eyeliner. Beginners like using this, and this is highly recommended because it’s super easy to use and convenient. It’s similar to a gel-based eyeliner, but it comes in the popular pen form. So, are you ready? Here’s a more detailed video to our Cat Eye Makeup Tutorial. We’ve chosen a Kendall Jenner makeup look, because why not?
