Feel like you don’t have enough time a day to workout? Break your workout into two sessions. You don’t have to workout for a longer period of time; just split one workout in half. If you do not like to go to the gym two times in a single day, try having one workout in the gym and one outdoors.

Spend no more than one hour at a time lifting weights. Muscles start to become very fatigued after an intense workout that lasts longer than an hour. Power your lifting workout down after an hour.

Start logging all of your physical activity each day. This log should include not only the workouts you complete, but also any additional exercises completed throughout your day. Get a pedometer to record the number of steps you walked during the day. It’s always easier to stay on track towards your fitness goals when you have a written record of your progress.

Do you want to increase the intensity of your workout? You can increase your strength by as much as 20 percent simply by stretching. After each exercise set, stretch the muscle for twenty or thirty seconds. Stretching your muscles a bit can really boost your workout’s effectiveness.

When doing moves that involve lifting weights over your head, contract your glute muscles on each repetition. That helps give your butt mucles a great workout, but you are also able to protect yourself from injury because you are going to position yourself more efficiently. This provides your spine with more stabilization.
