Your core is vitally important to your fitness levels. Core strength is vital for many exercises. Sit-ups or crunches can both help you build your core, and make it strong and stable. Doing sit ups can also increase the range of motion you experience. This will help you get more out of abdominal exercises in the future.

Take a page from tennis players with this simple arm exercise. Put a giant piece of newspaper on a table or other surface that is flat. Crumple up the paper using only your dominant hand for 30 seconds. Repeat the exercise two times and then use your other hand to do the exercise. After you have done the exercise once you will be ready to switch hands again and repeat the exercise.

Do not just forget to exercise on the weekends. It’s not uncommon for someone to view weekends as “free time” to rest and ignore health. You should be consistent in your workout efforts so, don’t take an entire weekend off. Think of how good you will feel on Monday, knowing that you stuck to your workout plan all weekend long. Build your self esteem by including weekends in your fitness goals.

You should wipe down the equipment you will use at the gym prior to actually using it. Germs and bacteria are spread easily this type of environment. The idea of working out is to improve your health, not to pick up a bug while exercising.

If you’re going to exercise, don’t call it working out or exercising. If you call it by these things, you are more than likely not going to be as motivated. When you go and exercise, instead call it running or cycling.
